Play On by Marilynn Halas-- Review and Giveaway!
Play On by Marilynn Halas
Genre: YA Fiction
Release Date: February 19th, 2013
Synopsis:
Play On by Marilynn Halas is definitly a new book, that I think you should try for yourself to see whether you like it or night.
Under any circumstance this book had a unique background which might have been the only reason that I kept on reading it. Dillon has some type of mental disorder where he actually sees someone, and that someone is Danny. It was never made clear to me whether they used to be brothers, or if Danny was just someone, however it reminded me like the show Long Island Medium where Teressa talks to the dead.
I think I am going to leave my review short and sweet. Oh, well theres another thing I could add, having two characters named Danny and Dillon, got wayyyy to confusing. But once you set them apart, it got better. :)
And because I want you to try it out for yourself... You have a chance on winning a goodie lot, and a copy of Play On!!
§ Book - Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and the Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho, (too hard to pick just one.)
§ Movie - Mary Poppins
§ Person (Can be a celebrity or someone you know in everyday life) - My husband because he keeps me grounded and still encourages me to soar.
Lastly I would like to apoligize to Caroline and Marilynn for being so late on this post!
*I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

An Interview with the one an only... Marilynn Halas!
I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t telling stories and writing. I believe stories are what make the human experience more meaningful. Stories let us know that we are not alone and that we too can overcome life’s struggles. I think good stories can help us live more happy and balanced lives and I wanted to be a part of that. In fact, that’s not only why I write, but why I founded 4 Sunflowers Media, to help families share the life skills we all need to get comfortable in our own skins and to help each other through shared experience and story.
2. What was Play On based off of?
Play On is based on the belief that there is more to each of us than we may know. That ordinary people can overcome extraordinary odds and that open minds are the best equipped to make new discoveries about ourselves and about our universe.
3. Play On has an interesting basis. How did you get the idea?
There is a belief that certain beloved objects maintain a connections with the people who loved them, a connection that can transcend even death. I think that is a great vehicle for a story to be built around. I also liked the idea that each of us has an important part to play in the world and in history, even if we don’t realize it at the time, every life matters.
4. Is there anything in the works we can look forward too?
Yes, I have a new installment in the Fuzzwipper series coming out in April. Fuzzwippers Make Good Helpers helps families with young children learn to work together and empowers our little ones to be good helpers like their Fuzzwipper friends. Hot Spots will be released this fall and it is the story of Evie, a seventh grader who learns how to deal with a bully in a rather surprising new way.
5. Quick Round! What is your favorite…
